What Are the Current U.S. Banknote Denominations?
As of today, the United States issues seven paper currency denominations:
$1 bill , $2 bill, $5 bill , $10 bill , $20 bill, $50 bill, $100 bill
These are the only U.S. banknotes being actively printed and circulated.
Are Large Denomination U.S. Bills Still Available?
The U.S. no longer produces high-denomination currency such as the $500, $1,000, $5,000, and $10,000 bills. These larger bills were last issued in 1969 and are no longer used in everyday transactions. However, they remain legal tender and are now considered rare collector’s items.
